Next you will admire the best conserved part of the King's road with its beautiful secondary old and new residences as well as beautiful sights of the Saint Lawrence River. See the house of birth of Marie-Rosalie Cadron, founder of the Institut des Sœurs de Miséricorde (Institute of the Sisters of Mercy), an inspirational female figure that challenged traditional positions and provided shelter to unwed and struggling mothers between 1840 and 1864. Visit a general store that dates to 1915 and have a feeling of travelling through time! Stop for a lunch break (at your own expense) before seeing the Moulin seigneurial de Pointe-du-Lac that dates to around 1765.
