Your day trip begins with complimentary pickup from a selection of downtown hotels. Climb on board and embark on a sightseeing adventure to discover the rich heritage and history of New France along the oldest road between Quebec and Montreal Cities; Chemin du Roy (King's Road).
40 minutes is all what it will take you to get away from Quebec metropolis to L'Assomption city, reputed of having one of the most beautiful downtown of a small city in the province. Your guide will show you the best of its conserved heritage that dates to 300 years. Next you will admire the best conserved part of the King's road with its beautiful secondary old and new residences as well as beautiful sights of the Saint Lawrence River.
See the house of birth of Marie-Rosalie Cadron, founder of the Institut des Sœurs de Miséricorde (Institute of the Sisters of Mercy), an inspirational female figure that challenged traditional positions and provided shelter to unwed and struggling mothers between 1840 and 1864. Visit a general store that dates to 1915 and have a feeling of travelling through time!
Stop for a lunch break (at your own expense) before seeing the Moulin seigneurial de Pointe-du-Lac that dates to around 1765. Considered as one of the most beautiful jewels of Quebec’s rural architecture, it still have a functioning mechanisms and it is a classified Heritage site.
Arriving at Canada's 2nd oldest city, Trois-Rivières, your guide will walk you through its beautiful downtown before seeing its waterfront and Old part of town.
Last but definitely not least your day trip will be concluded with the visit of Canada’s National Shrine to Our Blessed Mother ( Sanctuaire Notre-Dame-du-Cap). A "safe Haven and spiritual lighthouse" it is a reputed pilgrimage site.
